MATILDA CREATIVE

After came back from UK… (actually I didn’t feel very sad at the time, perhaps knowing I will be back one day, but really miss the life in London…)

Matilda was preparing my studio- MATILDA CREATIVE, mainly for creative solutions, use all the skill that I can do and cooperate with other studio/artist, and also open for opportunities in the UK. (Looking for company that would like to work permit me, I will do everything! ...legal) haha

My first project back to Asia was creating wedding solutions for Howard and Niko’s wedding, which are including wedding invitation, small book for gift and videos for playing in the wedding.

The owner of this garden is also an artist, he has a nice studio in the house, lots of painting s and huge collection about his religion.

Don’t have enough images; this artwork is actually my favorite, the concept is really sweet and the installation is so elegant that looks AMAZING.

Feels like I took a really long rest, haha

At the end of 2010, Matilda was working/ traveling/ moving and finally backs to Asia for a while...

It's always good to be home!

2011 is the 100th year of Taiwan; it is changing a lot, especially my hometown Kaohsiung... in a good way :)

So...

First, I want to share some thing i did at the end of last year...

"Coup de ville 2010 in Sint-Niklaas Belgium"

It was organized by WARP contemporary art platform, from 11.09.2010-24.10.2010

Sint Niklaas is a town in between Gent and Antwerpen in Belgium. Warp invited contemporary artists from all over the world residing in the houses of citizens it the town.

Follow the map you can easily (can be difficult sometimes, cause the view in the town is beautiful!) find a sculptures, installations inside people’s house.

At the same time, WARP also invited curators/critics/artists from different filed to join the conference, exchanging their point of views, and showing each other portfolios. Artists were living in the caravans. Here is the container that Matilda was living… couldn’t help to draw on window and pretend there is a real curtain, haha.

Our container were built in a market square, the caravan for meeting was built by artist Karl Philips.

There were two cute caravans for security guards as well, cause we actually lived in an open space.

Please allow me to write the description for the exhibition later. I have to say it did open my mind and learn a lot during this event, meeting some nice and wonderful people; Matilda would live to do this again for 2011.

A lady called Elie Van, gave me a card and gave me some nice suggestions at the end of the journey, and chocolates from Belgium is one of the best of course. :)

Evening even "PLAY" of V&A museum of childhood, takes place at the first Thursday of every month.

Everyday activity "Art Smart" in V&A museum of childhood, doing different art and craft activities which relate to the subject matters of exhibition. Matilda is one of volunteers in the museum, one day per week. It strats from 2pm to 4pm. Would you like to "PLAY" ?

Book illustration - Wedding Essence

At the beginning, the graphic designer and I had a discussion about style and how to present the illustrations for each chapter. A series of narrative and consistent illustrations represent a guide to organize a wedding. (...in a more romantic way)

The first book illustration of Matilda, it will be published at March 2009.

最近除了一邊畫插畫賺點生活費以活下去外，一邊整理自己以前做的東西，發現...有好多喔！媽啊！我以前到底都在幹什麼...
然後除了一邊找正職的in-house工作以外，一邊認真想自己以後的方向。
（好多一邊，只能說我很容易不專心...笑）

整理作品的同時，希望自己以後可以進步的越來越快！（加油！gogo!）

A Happy ending/ 3D animation/ 2005

Strange animation again, this was the second 3D animation, right after I returned to college from 'No-man-island'. I was fade out with the camera of lightwave and totally loss my patience at the end, that's way the speed was so weird.
